This client had issues with the render on the chimney , Which had started to degrade and in some places fall off . This could cause an issue to pass by and also could allow ingress and unfortunately leaks within the property.
As you can appreciate with a chimney, it is very exposed so if it does start to get into disrepair and is not dealt with at the earliest opportunity this can cause issues for the property.
Once we had assessed the chimney, we needed to have scaffolding around the chimney so that we could carry out the necessary repairs . We had to remove all old render , Repair the structure with corner beads and a Bell cast and finish in two coats of render.
